The House at Play
Cafe Pacifico, Covent Garden
Not long after we moved into the flat, we were given the pleasure of
meeting Mark, his girlfriend Ice and his mates Phil and Chocky for the first time.
Mark, Jeff and Bevan went to uni together in Sydney and Mark now lives in Ipswich.
We set out for Cafe Pacifico at 6pm and the less cautious among us (ie. everyone but me
and Shaun) started throwing back jugs of margarita. Some members of the group
handled this better than others (didn't they Jeff).

Foam Parties, Shepherds Bush Walkabout
The walkabout at Shepherds Bush hosts periodic foam parties. Experienced foamers
are always easy to detect by their bottled beer (so no foam can get in it), hands over
their cups of beer (so no foam can get in it), and goggles (to keep foam out of eyes).
We are now veterans of 3 foam parties, but I probably won't be an attender again
for quite some time.

Mark's Party, Ipswich
Last October, Mark turned 30 (you old bastard). To celebrate, he threw a
Halloween bash at his place in Ipswich, which saw our flat heading up for the weekend.
The theme of the event (which may not be immediately obvious if you look only at my
flatmates) was, of course, Halloween.

42 and 42a do Christmas Dinner 21/12/98
As we were going to be away for Christmas day, it was decided that our
flats should celebrate together a little earlier than is traditional. Vic and Lenny
had the day off to cook dinner, and did a fantastic job. After dinner Vic dressed up
as Santa and gave out the secret Santa pressies (5 quid limit). Too much merriment
meant I did not pull up well for work the next day.

Shaun's last night 28/01/99
In all Shaun's time in the country, he only missed one Thursday night out
at the Slug. This made the choice of venue for his farewell do a foregone
conclusion. After the slug closed we made the inevitable trip up the road to Rosies,
where the good will of Shaun's mates ensured he was yakking in the sink after he got home.
